Tsering was born in Lisbon, and traveled to Brussels in 1973, at the age of 19, where she first encountered Tibetan Buddhism.

She did a three years retreat in the 80’s in France, under the guidance of Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and under the supervision of Pema Wangyal Rinpoche. She also received teachings from many lamas of all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

She is a student of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche and has been teaching and traveling since 1992. She also served as a translator for many teachers, over the years.

She founded Bodhicharya Portugal in 2011 and she has been running it since then.
