Ringu Tulku Rinpoche

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a Tibetan Buddhist Master of the Kagyu Order. He was trained in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism under many great masters including HH the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa and HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. He took his formal education at Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Sikkim and Sampurnananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi, India and has served as Tibetan Textbook Writer and Professor of Tibetan Studies in Sikkim for 25 years.

Since 1990 he has been travelling and teaching Buddhism and Meditation at Universities, Institutes and Buddhist Centers in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Asia. He also participates in various interfaith and Science and Buddhist dialogues. He authored several books (see publications here) on Buddhism as well as some children’s books both in Tibetan and European languages.

Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is the Official Representative of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa for Europe and the Founder of KFE.

Dirk de Klerk, a long standing student of Ringu Tulku, completed a four year secluded meditation retreat at the Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery Scotland, and has been teaching Buddhist Meditation since 1994. Founded Bodhicharya London in 1999.

Cesare has been studying Buddhism and practising meditation since 2007. Since then he has attended many teachings and a number of short retreats in Europe and India, mainly within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Palden Tsultrim Yönten

Palden Tsultrim Yönten

Palden Tsultrim Yönten began his meditation practice in India in 1971. He spent most of his working life as a professional musician, travelling the world. He received his initial ordination as a monk from Ringu Tulku Rinpoche during Bodhicharya Summercamp in Portugal in 2018, and his full ordinations from his eminence Tai Situpa in Delhi in April, 2023.

Lama Wangmo first met His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa in the year 2000, just a few months after his arrival in India. Since then she has been studying and practicing Buddhism under the guidance of Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa.

Michele almost incidentally started meditating one Thursday evening in Soho, over 15 years ago, and has been meditating ever since. He has studied Buddhism with a variety of different teachers, especially in the Tibetan tradition. His main guide is Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.

Steve Todd has been a practising Buddhist since 1994. He is part of the Drukpa Kagyu sangha in the UK and has attended many short retreats and pilgrimages. Steve is a regular participant in the Bodhicharya London Day Retreats.

Rinchen, originally from England moved to the Caribbean when he was 22 years old and lived there during the 70’s and 80’s working on the islands and living the life of a lay Buddhist. At the end of the 80’s he moved to a Zen Monastery to train as a monk and Dharma teacher and was consequently asked to set up and run a Buddhist centre in Scotland in 1998, later returning to the Caribbean to teach in 2002.

Stuart McLeod has been practicing Buddhism in the Chinese Zen tradition for over 20 years. As a member and local group leader of the Western Chan Fellowship, he regularly attends residential retreats and leads a local group that meets weekly in the Medway Towns. He has also organised many residential retreats with a variety of teachers over the years.

Tsering Paldron became a Buddhist in 1974. She did a three years’ retreat in the 80’s in France, under the guidance of Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. She has received teachings from many lamas of all schools of Tibetan Buddhism and she started teaching in 1992.

Charles Manson was once a master woodcarver. He then spent several years as a Buddhist monk at the Samye Ling monastery in Scotland, where he spent eight years in secluded meditation retreat. He later studied at Harvard University where he received a master’s in theological studies.
